and qualities which are necessary to make a success of the
relationship.

• Success in the use of the Billings Ovulation Method
depends upon the same motivation, and the exercise of the
same qualities required to make a success of the relationship.
Education
• OMR&RCA is responsible for the training and accreditation
of teachers of the Billings Ovulation Method in Australia.
OMR&RCA has developed an approved
Teacher Training Correspondence Course for distance education
of teachers of the BOM. Contact
• OMR&RCA promotes scientific research into the
efficacy of the Billings Ovulation Method for the achievement
or avoidance of pregnancy and as a reliable indicator of female
reproductive health.
• The Education Committee of OMR&RCA is responsible
for the authentication of literature and other resources relating
to the BOM. Speakers are available for community education
seminars. (link to page on resources which should be changed
in line with new brochure)
• Fertility Education – OMR&RCA conducts
- seminars for health professionals for which it holds Accredited
Provider status with the RACGP. Contact

the scientific basis of reproduction. Contact
• Education for Adolescents
– the Christian Sexuality Programme offers values-based
personal development seminars for senior secondary students.

for those wishing to learn the BOM who do not have access
to a local teaching service
Bulletin
The Bulletin of the Ovulation Method Research & Reference
Centre of Australia is produced quarterly. It is a medium
for the publication of medical and scientific articles about
natural fertility regulation and related topics. It also publishes
theological and philosophical articles pertaining to sexual
morality and marriage which are in accord with traditional
morality and the teachings of the Catholic Church.

The Ovulation Method Research and Reference Centre
of Australia Ltd is a non-profit organization which undertakes
research into fertility and infertility awareness and receives
funding under the Commonwealth Department of Health, Family
Planning Program Grant, for training and accreditation of
teachers of the Billings Ovulation Method of natural fertility
regulation.
